Subcommittees

Agenda Subcommittee

This subcommittee develops the agendas for the Coordinating Group’s monthly meetings by reviewing proposals from other subcommittees and individual group members, developing new proposals for inclusion on Coordinating Group agendas, and anticipating additional operational issues that need to be addressed. This subcommittee meets bi-monthly.

Communications Subcommittee

This subcommittee works with staff to organize the initiative’s website and content, including the development of a discussion forum. Additional responsibilities include creating a recommendation about how to get info out to non-web users, including email discussions; putting together a demonstration to group to understand email and the discussion forum; and respecting FOIA and the Open Meetings Act and promoting adherence to it. This group meets on an “as-needed” basis.
 

Funding Subcommittee

This subcommittee addresses how the funding from the Michigan Department of Transportation can be used, and how and where to seek alternative and/or additional funding. This group meets on an “as-needed” basis.

RFP Subcommittee

The role of this subcommittee is to develop a Request for Proposals that will identify the scope of the land use and transportation study and be used to solicit and select the consultant for the process. This group meets on an “as-needed” basis.
